The Nimbin Caravan Park Enforcer

2 The Nimbin Caravan Park EnforcerWhen the manager gets off with you or you complain about something, he sends this guy, his 'drinking buddie' AKA 'The Enforcer' to abuse, intimidate and pick fights with you on your doorstep. Mind you, the manager will be standing back watching as it happens and does nothing about it. Later the manager will lie and make out that you were the troublemaker...

2 Long Term Dodge Grand Caravan Kelley Blue Book Van CultureFOR MORE CAR VIDEOS & REVIEWS CHECK OUT http://www.kbb.com/kbb/NewsAndReviews/VideoLibrary.aspx

Dodge Caravan Minivan. It wasn't so long ago that people cringed when confronted with the fashion of the 1970's. But with the Disco Decade nearly 40 years in the rearview mirror, the era is experiencing its inevitable irony-driven comeback. So when the Dodge Grand Caravan joined Kelley Blue Book's long-term test fleet it was greeted with a bit more enthusiasm than one might expect of a minivan. That enthusiasm, due largely to a wealth of optional equipment, also reflected the hope that the Dodge Grand Caravan might act as a portal to another time when custom vans were for the cool kids and not just angry loners. Sure the Grand Caravan does a fine job hauling children to ballet or grow-mulch home from the store, but it performs equally well as an impromptu lounge or for blasting Lynyrd Skynyrd while cruising down the highway with your old lady. Can modern minivans offer enough retro-fabulous mojo to fill the void left by the custom van fad of the 1970's? It's a question that deserves an answer and one which kbb.com's Micah Muzio explores in the following video.

2 Thule Caravan Cargo Bag Carrier Review etrailer.comhttp://www.etrailer.com/tv-demo-thule-roof-caravan-cargo-bag-TH857.aspx

Videos are provided as a guide only. Refer to manufacturer
installation instructions and specs for complete information.
Today we are going to show you part number TH857 from Thule. This is their Caravan Cargo Bag Carrier. This carrier bag has a storage capacity of 13 cubic feet, and this will mount to virtually any rooftop cargo rack, either aftermarket or factory installed. We will cover some of the features of this bag.

It will mount to any cargo rack with these tie-down straps right here - you have one, two, and two on the other side. That will hold it down to the cargo rack. And this is actually designed to fit in between the cargo bars sitting on top of the roof itself. The front of the bag also features two straps that go over the entire bag itself, stitched to the top and also stitched down to the bottom, which also converts into a nice, easy-to-use carrying handle, so you can carry the bag fully loaded to take it on and off the vehicle. And these are the buckles that you disconnect so you can get to the lid of the bag. And it is zippered right here and is covered up so that makes a weatherproof seal. All right, as you can see it also comes with its own storage bag itself. Roll it up and fold it up and it fits nice in its own little storage case and keep it out of the way until you are ready to use it again.

As you can see here we have got a Thule Caravan installed on top of a roof rack here. Now, typically with your light stuff, you can go ahead and load the bag up first and then put it up on the roof. However, if you have got some heavy material, it probably would be a better idea to put the roof bag on first and then load up your materials. Once you have that done, again, like we showed you before about the buckles that strap it down in place. So they just go around the factory bar here or any other aftermarket bar. And they simply buckle into place. We will simply tuck that back underneath there. And, if possible, bring it through to the back side of it and take up a little of the extra slack. And then you go ahead and do the same thing for the front of the vehicle. Just tuck that underneath the bag and going toward the front of the vehicle. And with that your bag is strapped in. It will not go anywhere. And the main thing also you want to make sure of is that - this is the front of the bag, the part that does not have the zipper - you want that facing the wind. And this is the zipper right here, and this is the covering for the zipper. To make sure it is weatherproof, go ahead and make sure that these Velcro straps are installed in place so it will not go anywhere. And there you have it for part number TH857, the Caravan Cargo Bag Carrier.

Dodge Caravan Review

What's new for the 2008 Dodge Caravan: Redesigned; new model.

It ain't easy being a minivan these days. Sales are down, the players are stronger, and the passing of time has given everyone a chance to copy each other's best features. Things have gotten so harsh that Ford and GM have dropped out entirely, but Dodge has chosen to stay the course with an all-new Caravan.

Yes, America's original minivan is back, and it's better. To start, all Caravans are "Grand" now that the shorter-length model has been cast aside. The two V6 engines (a 175-horsepower 3.3-liter and a 197-horsepower 3.8-liter) have been joined by a new 251-horsepower 4.0-liter SOHC V6 and a 6-speed automatic transmission, giving the Grand Caravan quick acceleration and competitive performance for the first time. The suspensions have been upgraded for better ride quality, and more care has been given to interior design (i.e. the middle-row windows now go all the way down).

default Dodge Caravan Review

The Grand Caravan also takes another step in seating innovation. You might remember how three years ago, Dodge came out with Stow-N-Go, the option that allows the second-row seats to fold into the floor. This year, Stow-N-Go gets joined by Swivel-N-Go, a separate, non-compatible option that allows the second-row seats to be flipped backward so kids can face one another and play games. Another [optional] enhancement is the power folding third-row seat that flips backwards to face out the rear. Think tailgate party.

With so many engines, transmissions, and seating configurations (not to mention two style choices, if you count the near-identical Chrysler Town & Country), what we have here is the minivan with the most choice. However, even the best of those choices don't necessarily add up to the best minivan. Even the Caravan's highest engine gets criticized for lacking refinement, and worse, Dodge only lets you buy it after you load up the Caravan past $32,000 (it starts around $23,000). The Stow-N-Go seats are known to compromise comfort. Some also think the Caravan still lags in ride and handling.

The Swivel-N-Go seats are probably the best thing the Caravan's got going for it, since the easy social interaction can make long trips much more bearable for kids. If that's not important, though, there are other vans you might find more grand than the Caravan.
