So you are setting out for a vacation in your RV. Of course, you will want to take your family with you to enjoy the journey. That means that you don't want to leave anyone behind... including the family pet. As it turns out, many RV owners decide to take their animals along with them for the ride.

It can be so depressing boarding your pet at a traditional kennel. In fact, you may feel guilty on your vacation knowing that your dog or cat is locked up alone in a little cage. However, when you bring them along on your vacation, you don't need to worry about their happiness. You can be assured that they are having a great time. Plus, you can save the expense of having to keep them in a kennel. Feel free to use that money for something that you actually enjoy!

There are a few supplies that you will need to acquire in advance. For example, just like you wouldn't travel without getting a good RV mattress; make sure that you bring a pet bed for your dog or cat. He or she will really appreciate having someplace comfortable to sleep. Also be sure to bring food and water bowls. Keep in mind that your pet needs to stay hydrated especially if you are traveling during the summer. Also throw a few pet toys into the RV as well. You may want to buy a few new toys to keep their brains stimulated.

Don't forget that your pets will need to take bathroom breaks. Be sure that you have good leashes that you can use to secure them. It isn't always easy to get a cat into a leash, so try to get cats used to leashes before you travel.

You'll need a good RV mattress to make sure that you get a good night's sleep. However, you can just bring your dog or cat's bed from home. You don't need to get any sort of special RV mattress for an animal. At night, you can let your cat or dog out of the cage to stretch his or her legs. Also make sure that you bring food and water bowls and some toys for your pet.

You are about to embark on an adventure in your RV, so why not give your pets an adventure as well? They can't say "thank you" to you, but you will see the appreciation in their eyes. Just make sure that they are safe at all times when you travel.

Trailer Tent Features

Many people see camping as a very simple means of having a holiday but as technology has become more ingenious, camping has been able to become a more luxurious way of meeting the great outdoors.

The standard things when you go camping are things such as having no bed, sunstroke due to no real protection or decent shelter from the sun, no kitchen facilities, cold and damp mornings, and plenty of insect bites. Die hard campers enjoy this about the camping experience but that does not mean everyone else will.

One way to get around this is to bring the luxuries from home out into nature with you. This luxury can be found in a Trailer Tent which can be your home from home when in the great outdoors. Trailer tents are feature laden in order to ensure that you have a great time with nature whilst still be able to enjoy some of the luxuries of home.

A trailer tent is towed behind a car as a trailer and once you get to your destination you can fold a tent out of the trailer which becomes the main living compartment of the trailer tent, complete with beds, seating area and storage facilities. When they are being towed you can even store other things on top of it such as all your other camping equipment, luggage or even bicycles.

One of the neatest features that comes with a trailer tent is the trailer tent kitchen unit that is secured at the back of the trailer. This kitchen unit comes complete with a built in sink and stove and allows you to cook food very easily when sitting in the middles of a field gazing up at the stars.

The tent like roof is not only fully waterproof to protect you and the family from the rain but also comes with zipable sections that allow for better air circulation which is terribly important when you are camping in hot climates. As well as the canvas roof, you can also purchase an additional awning area that will make your undercover living area double in size. This not only mean that you can sleep extra people but it allows more space to spread out in and also a great place for family dining and board games in the evening.

The best benefit of trailer tent camping is that you get to sleep in a proper bed that is fitted within the trailer base unit. This is the one thing that most people miss when out camping in the wild so it sets the trailer tent above the standard pitched tent.

Why not try Trailer Tent Camping this summer? Camping in a Trailer Tent is a great way to get into the outdoors with your family and friends.

More and more people are opting to take UK holidays, as staying at home becomes increasingly common.

Fears of a double dip recession, as well as exceptionally bad foreign currency rates mean normal, hard-working families are opting to explore the United Kingdom, rather than splash out on a trip overseas.

If you are planning on having a "staycation" this year in the UK, check out our favourite short breaks in the UK.

1) Cornwall With 140 beaches, the county of Cornwall attracts visitors from all over the country due to its stunning coastline and landscape. One of the most popular attractions in the far south-west corner of England currently is the Eden Project, a massive indoor rainforest, garden and wildlife exhibition.

2) Wales Resorts across the north and south Wales coast are well-known for their caravan parks. The west of the country is a more scenic offering, with the mountains of Snowdonia in easy reach of many parts of the country. If walking and climbing isn't for you, holidaying on a budget can be achieved at resorts such as Rhyl or Prestatyn, while the capital Cardiff is a mecca for its shopping and nightlife.

3) Dorset Situated on the south coast on England, Dorset is in a great location for getting out and exploring the surrounding areas. The large town of Bournemouth offers a mix of shopping and restaurants with a glorious seven-mile sandy beach, which is extremely popular in the summertime! Other attractions include Monkey World which is bound to be a hit with the younger crowd.

4) Scotland Whether you stay in one of the caravan sites dotted around Scotland, or feel like a B&B is more up your street, exploring the dramatic landscape of the highlands in a must-do. Pass the big cities near the south of the country and miles upon miles of countryside, rolling hills and mountainous terrain opens up for your enjoyment. Scotland is also the home of golf, a great relaxing pastime for both beginners and pros.

5) Norfolk Sites such as the Norfolk Broads attract visitors throughout the year, from both wildlife enthusiasts to water sport lovers. The flat countryside of East Anglia is an interesting contrast to other, slightly hillier destinations, and the east coast beaches are long and sandy. Both Great Yarmouth and Norwich should be visited when you want to step away from the more rural parts of the county

RV Travel Trends

RV sales numbers are staying strong. The worst of the recession appears to be in the past. As RV dealers face summer sales, generally their peak sales time, they are stocking up with new RV models.

The travel trailer has taken in the industry by storm as many are looking for a cheaper alternative to RV travel, but more protection than a traditional tent. Those in their early twenties and thirties are driving the trend towards lightweight environmentally friendly vehicles.

It seems the younger generation has started a buying trend of lightweight travel trailers and fuel-efficient vehicles. Baby boomers on the other hand are still spending on more expensive models such as Class A RVs and Fifth Wheel Campers. No matter what the age, it seems as if more people are returning to the outdoors and doing it in RV style.

Also picking up interest this year are park model RVs. Park models basically provide many of the conveniences of home but offer the same access to the outdoors as an RV. A lot of families are using park models for trips when they don't have an RV, or want a little extra comfort and convenience on the road. The companies producing these models are growing as steadily as parks are purchasing them.

Record numbers of people seem to be hitting the road and visiting National Parks. In June alone, in excess of 700,000 people headed to Yellowstone National Park. July tends to be the busiest month for National Parks so visitors will probably swarm the parks in July.

As oil continues to spill from the Gulf, a significant number of travelers are re-routing their vacations to avoid what may be contaminated beaches and waters. To help travelers, there are numerous web sites that offer up-to-the-minute reports on what areas have been affected and which ones haven't. Some resorts even offer a 100% money back guarantee if their beaches become contaminated before or during your stay. Beaches are the epitome of summer fun, so check out the south and the coastal cities for a great vacation.

If the warm weather is pushing you to cooler climates, the mountains offer refuge from overwhelming heat waves. Snow is still apparent at higher elevations and wildflowers are blanketing fields and valleys. Places like Rocky Mountain National Park and Glacier National Park offer great mountain camping and cool evening air.

No matter your style of vehicle or destination, there is summer adventure awaiting you. The RVing industry has held strong for 100 years. Celebrate the centennial year of RVing by hitting the road and exploring with your new RV, Fifth Wheel Toy Hauler, Travel Trailer, Pop-up Camper or more.

Someone keeps hacking into my ebay account and puts a caravan for sale. This has happened a number of times and ebays sorts it out and I change all my passwords but it keeps happening. Has anyone else had this problem and any suggestions on how to stop it?

thank

grannie

its possible that your account is either being "phished" which can often happen if you type a web address very close, but incorrectly into your browser. Also, you may have some sort of data mining malware on your hard drive. It might be best if you take any imoprtant documents and files you have on your hard drive, save them to a flash drive or cd and do a format and reinstall of your operating system, drivers, and applications. Then go out and get a good anti free malware suite. I suggest ccleaner avast and zone alarm

It depends whether you are buying brand new or not. My Mum and Dad bought 3 in a 20 period. After about 10 years they really start to show their age although new caravans are much better these days with double glazing and central heatingg etc. The depreciation on them is alsocolossall. My parents last caravan cost £24000 12 years ago which she sold 2 years ago for £750 because the site owners told residents either buy a new caravan or leave the site. As this was the second time it had happened under the 10 year and off rule they got rid of it. Also bear in mind you will need to pay ground rates which is about £1500-£2000 per year so you may need to let out the caravan to holidaymakers to recoup costs.

I did have some wonderful weekends away and had a set of home and away friends and some of my best memories were at the caravan site so don't let the above put you off.
